Douglas Paul Keefer passed away Saturday, December 17, 2016 at home surrounded by his family after an extended illness. He was born May 18, 1957 in Meadville, Pennsylvania to Arthur L. and Carol S. Kroh Keefer. He graduated from C Read Obituary
I have very fond memories of Doug and his wife Trish. They came out to Arizona to see the sights and we had the opportunity to meet them and have lunch in Prescott Valley, AZ. And all the times I have spent with Doug during our annual Myrtle Beach week of golf. Whether we golfed together during the day, had dinner afterwards, or just sat around one of the rooms discussing whatever came to mind. All great memories of Doug. Miss you.

To the Keefer Family,
We pass on our prayers for the entire Keefer family and the church family that will miss our friend. It would be hard to find a man with more integrity than Doug in today’s world and we are all better for having him in our life. We are selfish in our grief but celebrate the fact that Doug is no longer suffering the aliments of his human body. His soul is now free to live in eternity and we celebrate his life, his love of life and all those he touched along the way. I am so sorry I can not be with you during this time but will be in NY and thinking of you and praying for strength for all.

I'm devastated by this news. Doug and I were in Email chit-chat the last year or so and I was encouraged by some of the progress he made. I know he fought this thing hard and find some comfort knowing he was well enough recently to make it into the woods to hunt.
Doug was a good guy, and I for one am a better person for having known him. It hurts knowing I can't be there, as I promised myself if it came to pass that I would be there come hell or high water.
The world is a lessor place without Doug, he will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
I am so sorry for your loss, Trish. Doug was a special person and so full of life. He will be greatly missed! Much love to you and his loved ones. You all are in my thoughts!
