Dorothy A. Kassvan's Obituary
Dorothy A. Kassvan, age 77 of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 in Shands UF Hospital. Dorothy was born January 5, 1940 in Brooklyn, New York to Charles Wesley and Anna Eichler Diehl. She was very spiritual and a free spirit. She volunteered at Family Treasures Thrift Store benefitting Children’s Home Society. Dorothy was affectionately known as “Ma-San” to her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Kassvan. She is survived by her children, Debby DaSilva (Ed), Ruth McKenzie (Paul) and Alex Kassvan and grandchildren, Kathy Speregen, Cara McKenzie and Kristine Brideson.
A small gathering to celebrate Dorothy’s life will be held Wednesday, March 8, 2017 at 2:00 pm at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street, with Pastor Cleve Robinson officiating.
