Mr. W
Dennis wasn't just any soldier, he was a Green Beret! He survived the They offensive. He said that night they received so much fire that he couldn't remember what happened the next day. Dennis was in 'Nam when his dad died. With the death of Colonel Trimble, he was approved for immediate leave to attend his funeral. Later Dennis found out that the Green Beret that took his bunk was killed in a rocket attack; in HIS bunk! He also learned that no one ever returned from the mission in which he was scheduled to participate. I don't call many people friends, but Dennis was one of them! I've never known a finer man! Looking forward to meeting you again in heaven "Brother"!
