Deborah Jean Snyder Yarbrough's Obituary
Deborah Jean Snyder Yarbrough, 62, resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Monday, February 29, 2016 in the North Florida Regional Medical Center, following a long illness.
Mrs. Yarbrough was born on June 12, 1953 in Tuscaloosa, Alabama to the late Fred and Peggy Snyder. She traveled around until settling in Gainesville in 1984. She was a homemaker, devoted to her family, but her interests were wide and varied. She enjoyed all manner of handicrafts, sewing, crocheting, quilting to name a few; she enjoyed outdoor activities, Geocaching, camping and hiking. Deborah had a love of music, particularly concerts and marching bands and was very involved with The Phantom Regiment Drum and Bugle Corps. Along with her husband she was involved with scouting, serving at almost every level, and most recently as assistant district commissioner. Mrs. Yarbrough was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints; First Ward.
She is survived by her husband, Tommy Wayne Yarbrough; one daughter, Mary Lucretia Yarbrough, of Orlando; two sons, Nicholas (Beth) Yarbrough, of Newberry and Christopher Yarbrough, of St. Augustine; one brother, Fred Riley Snyder, Jr., of Buhl, AL; three sisters, Sherry (David) Smelley, of Northport, AL, Lisa (Jeff) Brooks, Fayette, AL, Rebecca (Daryl) Kent, Buhl, AL; one granddaughter, Isabella CosetteYarbrough, of Newberry.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 5, 2016 at 10:00 A. M., in the sanctuary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, First Ward, 3745 NW 16th Blvd. The family will receive friends on Friday, March 4, 2016 from 5:30 to 7:30 P.
