David Alan St. John's Obituary
David Alan St. John, age 72, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, June 13, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born on January 15, 1954, in Oregon, Ohio, David was the beloved son of the late Donald and Barbara St. John. He graduated from Owens Technical Institute in Toledo, Ohio, and made Gainesville his home in 1985, where he built a life centered on family, faith, and service to others.
For 35 years, David dedicated his career to Shands/UF Health, serving as a Radiology Coordinator with professionalism, compassion, and commitment before his retirement. He was also a faithful member of Holy Faith Catholic Church.
Above all else, David cherished his family. Nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter.
David was preceded in death by his parents and by his son, Justin St. John, who passed away in 2000.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 47 years, Donna St. John; his son, Gregory (Angela) St. John of Alachua; his brothers, Reginald (Sheree) St. John and Mark St. John, both of Oregon, Ohio; and his beloved granddaughter, Evelyn Rose St. John of Alachua.
In accordance with his wishes, funeral services will be private and held for immediate family.
