David Michael Cruise's Obituary
David Michael Cruise, 61, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 18, 2016, at his home, following a long illness.
David was born on June 16, 1955 in Anniston, Alabama to the late John Elmer and Mildred Inez Cruise. He was preceded in death by a brother, John W. Cruise.
David graduated from Anniston High School, where he played the drums in the concert and marching bands. He graduated from Jefferson State College in Birmingham with a degree in Mortuary Science. He continued his studying and graduated from Samford University with a Bachelor’s degree in business.
He was a pilot and aviation was his passion.
David is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Beverly; a daughter, Christi (Shannon) Adams; a son, David (Danielle) Cruise; sisters, Jacqueline Vaughn, and Donna (David) White; sister-in-law, Helen Cruise; granddaughters, Shelby Lynn Adams and Lacey Ann Cruise; nieces & nephews, Yvette, Dawn, Brooklyn, Britney, Daniel and Brett.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, September 21, 2016 at 11:00 A. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street, with Rev. Gary Crawford, officiating. Interment will follow in Countryside Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 20, 2016 from 5 to 7 P. M., at the funeral home.
