I was honored to call Charles McGill my friend. Sgt. McGill was also a brother correctional officer for the Florida Dept. of Corrections. We served together at Putnam CI, until my retirement from state service in 2006. The memories of our times together will remain with me forever. We also shared a love of gardening a good laugh. To say that Charles was an exemplary individual would be a profound understatement. I am truly a better man for knowing him. Rest in Peace my friend. May God watch over your family as we watched over our charges.
