Charles E. "Chuck" Goodrich's Obituary
Charles E. (“Chuck”) Goodrich, 82, passed away peacefully on September 23 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, FL, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his daughter Renee Schneider and son-in-law Keith Schneider of Gainesville, FL; son Matthew Goodrich of Ashland, OR; and son Andre Goodrich and daughter-in-law Jill Jaques of Seattle. He is also survived by his sister, Elaine Shaw of Yorktown, IN, sisters-in-law Denise and Suzette LeMieux of North Adams, MA; brother-in-law Bertrand LeMieux of Bonita, CA; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Earl and Dora (Lamy) Goodrich and wife Fern M. (Lemieux) Goodrich.
A long-time resident of Liverpool, Chuck was born in Pittsfield, MA, and graduated from St. Joseph’s High School in Pittsfield and Allied Institute of Technology in Chicago. He served in the U.S. Army from 1954 to 1956 and was stationed at the Chinon Engineer Depot in France. Chuck worked for more than forty years as a draftsman and planner for General Electric in Pittsfield and Syracuse. An avid outdoorsman and gardener, he supervised the planting of the Butterfly Garden of HOPE on Onondaga Lake Parkway. He also enjoyed woodworking and golf.
Celebrations of Chuck’s life for family and friends will be arranged for future dates.
