Chad Paul Schulze's Obituary
Chad Paul Schulze, age 51, died unexpectedly on August 10, 2021 while vacationing with his wife in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
He was born in Jacksonville, FL on August 1, 1970. He grew up in Interlachen, FL and graduated from Palatka High School. He joined the Army National Guard right out of high school. Graduated from the University of Florida, ROTC program with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1994. He separated from the Army with a rank of Captain.
Chad loved nursing and caring for his patients. He worked for several years for UF Health and worked for Lifequest Organ Recovery Services. Because he loved to travel, he worked for several years as a traveling nurse. At the time of his death, he was employed at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center in Gainesville Florida.
He had his private pilot’s license and felt at home in the sky. He was a devoted family man. He enjoyed traveling in their RV. He also loved cooking amazing food.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 27 years, Janet McCarthy Schulze, daughter, Petty Officer third class Haley Schulze US Coast Guard, loving parents, Peter and Beverly Schulze, his brother, Eric Scot Schulze and nieces, Ava, Ella, and Alyssa Schulze.
