This is heartbreaking. I always enjoyed working with Chad. His bright colored scrubs ( orange ) and bright personality. He had an infectious laugh. Fantastic nurse. He will be missed terribly. He was so incredibly proud of Haley. Goodbye for now my friend. 💔🙏❤️

My wife and I are saddened to read that Chad had died. He was such a warm outgoing personality and very professional in his work at Malcolm Randall VA Center. He administered our COVID J&J vaccine there. Our condolences to his family.
Chad was "one-of-a kind" and I am so sad that the world no longer will benefit from his humor, energy, compassion and dedication. He cared deeply for his patients and worked to improve their experience and help them to get the best outcome possible, regardless of the energy, effort and personal sacrifice it demanded. His love for his family and pride in their accomplishments was obvious and frequently his favorite topic of conversation. I am very grateful that I was given the precious gift of knowing Chad for many years as a student, colleague and friend. Prayers and love to al his family.
I am so deeply sorry for the loss of such a bright light! Chad was such a warm, energetic guy! I am sending love and comfort to all who loved such an amazing man! Rest in love💕💕

What an amazing man. I always joked with him on how he should have joined the Air Force. Yet he loved his Army days. He was a great friend, Veteran, and colleague. He was a Hero for Malcom Randal VA Medical Center when The Pandemic hit. I can tell you he saved lives with his leadership during chaos. I remember how we implemented field medicine to take care of our Veterans and increase our ability to keep everyone safe. Never done at the VA in Gainesville. He utilized his Army experience to get the Mission done. We were the first in Gainesville to have a field medical tent and the first to have x-ray and lab outside. He helped mentor me as a physician on how to work as a team with everyone. He always had my six. He always talked to me about his wife. How much he loved her. How our daughters had the same name. To cherish life and enjoy the sky. The freedom that it brought. He touched my life and made me a better person. I will miss you. See you on the other side. Eric J. Colon MD
