Tom Land
One of my fondest memories of "Sister Scruggs" (as I knew her) was when she went backpacking at the age of 60 along with her grandaughers (Debbie, Donna, and Denise all nee Honey) and a bunch of us from church in the Ocala National Forest. The tent her and her grandaughters stayed in was dubbed the "Honey Hilton". This was a "carry your gear in and out" type trip.
Also, sometime in the early 2010's my late wife and I were visiting the Alachua congregation and we were talking to Donna. As typical Sister Scruggs came flying by and almost ran over Donna!!
I probably have other memories but I cannot think of them now.
