Carolyn Mary Belloni's Obituary
Carolyn Mary Belloni, age 81, of Gainesville, FL passed away on, St. Patrick’s Day, March 17, 2018 at UF Health Shands Hospital. She was born Carolina Mary Stopkowitz on January 10, 1937 in New Brunswick, NJ; Daughter of Alexander Stopkowitz and Caroline Russo Stopkowitz. She is preceded in death by her father, mother, sister, Alice Fredman, and brothers, Alex, Ralph, and Edward Stopkowitz. She also is preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, George E. Belloni on St. Valentine’s Day, 2018. She is survived by her son, George L. Belloni, and wife, Helene; her three grandchildren, Branden Belloni, and wife, Janna, Dylan Belloni, and Lauren Belloni; her great-grandchildren, Kaidence, Brett, and Adam. She is also survived by her two brothers, Frank and Harry Stopkowitz, and her sister-in-law, Lena Minichino, and Lena’s children, Kathylee Jones, and husband, Douglas, and Anthony Minichino. Lastly, she is survived by her loving friend, Lacie Lazaroe, relatives, and friends.
Carolyn, was a faithful, devoted, and loving woman to God, her husband, and son. She was appreciative of the little moments in life, and always warmed hearts with her smile that radiated beyond her lips and through her eyes. She met every ideal of what a perfect grandmother would be. She was Snow White towards animals, the Cinderella of keeping house, and blew all modern-day princesses out of the water with her quick wit and humor. She will be remembered in the hearts of many.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Gainesville, FL on Monday, March 26, 2018 at 12:00 pm. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the mass, beginning at 11:30 am.
