I was assigned to the Gainesville airport police unit for over eight years. Even though I had known Carl through Cansel, I really got to know him during his many trips coming and going through the airport. Carl would come out a little early for his flights. We would visit, laugh and solve all the worlds problems! I was told he would book his flights depending on my schedule. I don't know how true that was (Cansel) but that would be just like him to do. Rest easy, my friend.
