Carole Somers
I was saddened when I saw the notice of Bhaskar’s death in the Penn Gazette. Long ago memories of meeting when he and Mack shared an apartment while in the doctoral program. His stories of his first experiences in the U.S. His cooking. I took my driver’s license test in his car! Mack and I had a very small wedding, but Bhaskar was there. Several years later we were privileged to share in your wedding celebration.
After Mack died in 2017, I had a lovely visit with you where you both gave me such a warm welcome. I frequently recall our conversation about concerns for our country as well as the delights of grandparenthood.
Regrettably, I lost touch with you when mail was returned. But, know how sorry I am for your loss.
Fondly, Carole Somers
