Isn't it strange that those we need are those we love the best, and just the ones that God needs too, and takes them home to rest. . .
Dear Erna, Ellen, Eiryn, and Joy,
I feel that anything I say will be futile at this time. It's tough to deal with the loss of someone you love, but coping can be easier because you're not alone.
Everyone who knew Ben have lost a real friend and have left a massive hole in their hearts.
I wish to remember Ben from the good old days at 192 Notre Dame St. in St. Boniface and those week-ends we shared - playing "Bingo Dikit" with a warm circle of friends on cold Friday evenings at your basement, Horse racing at the Assiniboine Downs, fishing escapades, and picnics at the park. These are cherished memories which I like to re-live over and over. The effect of nostalgia - a longing for what it used to be.
Nothing can take from you the wealth of wonderful memories you shared with your Dad for many years and you don't bury memories of the person, we share them with friends and family.
I hope this message of comfort will help to ease your irreplaceable loss. I pray for your strength, courage, and faith to bring you peace even in the midst of this great sorrow.
With deepest sympathy,
Auntie Nen
