Joshua, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Our prayers are with you as always.
Joshua, I’m so very very saddened over the loss of your mother. Please accept my deepest condolences. We were friends since you and Deborah were in pre school and she was one of the smartest women I’ve known. When I visited her last month we had a wonderful conversation about Israel and as always I learned something new. She will be deeply missed. Candy Pigott
I had the privilege of working with Barbara on an Institute for Learning in Retirement course at Oak Hammock in 2018. I am so glad that I got to know her. She was super smart, interesting, and witty. What a great sense of humor! I am so glad that I got to be with her in October for another ILR course. I will miss her. My deepest condolences to her devoted son, Joshua.

Barbara was a vital member of the Alachua County Solid and Hazardous Waste Public Information Committee. She advocated the use of re-usable shopping bags at a time when the Advocacy of waste reduction for a sustainable future had just begun. Her enlightened mindset and positive attitude was vital during these early days of implementation of source reduction and recycling goals. She was an inspiration and will be deeply missed.
