She was my first mother figure. She was gentle, kind and loving. I am happy that I was able to reconnect with her.
I had the pleasure of spending some great times with Mike and Barb in Connecticut.
What I remember is a girl who was always ready for the next adventure. Whether skiing in the winter, rafting down a frigid, swollen river in spring (we had more enthusiasm than skill) hiking the hills in the fall or spontaneous summer outings. Barb was right there, a girl for all seasons, adding to the moment, having a ball and flashing her wonderful smile.

I met Barb Bergin in 2015 and started riding mountain bikes together with Bonnie Cauthon we all were a great team and had the same speed. Unfortunately I only got to know her for this short time but I can say that she was the strongest person I’ve ever met. She would call you after coming home from chemo and say “ let’s go ride” I will always miss and love her she tought me a lot along the trails. Thanks Barb

Barb and I formed a dear friendship over many miles of riding over the years. While riding was our passion, Barb was an amazing woman on and off the bike. She touched so many lives with the sweetest smile and biggest heart. My prayers are with Mike and family.
