Dearest Kathy, Michael and Matthew I am so sorry for your loss.
I just found Tony’s obituary, and I am heart broken. Kathy you know the two of you ment the world to me. When you let me into your family as an exchange student you showed me what a loving family is all about.
I miss you and hate it that I didn’t manage to stay in touch through the years.

I stayed at the Nowell family in 1979 with my older sister. I still remember this lovely family. Michael and Matthew were 5 and 6 years old. I gave a cap to Michael and a toydog to Matthew. I heard afterwards that Matthew loved his dog. So many years ago and it feels like yesterday. I remember Tony as a very cheerful person who liked food. I am So sorry to hear he has passed.
Kathy, we send you and your family our condolences on the loss of Tony. We are so saddened to learn about his death. Our memories go back to Jan's days at Grant Center Hospital and parties at your home. We all became friends. We remember that difficult time after Hurricane Andrew. Then later, we shared so many good times together in North Carolina. We treasure our memories.

I'm saddened to learn of his passing. I'm sure I speak for a lot of former employees at Grant Center Hospital in saying he was a mentor, inspiration and overall good guy .As Medical Director he instituted a first rate clinical service programs for the patients and staff. I have many fond memories of Dr.Nowels.
