Erin Gilreath
Mrs. Girardin was my 4th grade teacher a Joyce Bullock. I would often spend my recess playing with friends in proximity to Mrs. Girardin and remember enjoying talking with her during recess. She is also my first memory of Transitions lenses! After 4th grade, I moved up to Illinois with my Mom but would visit family every summer. I must have talked about Mrs. Girardin still because I do recall one summer her picking me up at my Grandma's house in her big conversion van, and us going over to Joyce Bullock to get her classroom ready for the next school year.
Though we certainly lost touch, I did continue to ask family/friends in Levy County Schools about her. As you can see, it's 2026, I'm 45 years old and I randomly thought about her enough to google her name.
Reading about her, her spiritual beliefs and her love of animals warms my heart even further. Rest in peace, Mrs. Girardin. My condolences to her family.
