Ann Bosserman Boyd's Obituary
Ann Bosserman Boyd, of Winchester, Virginia, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024. Born in Winchester, Virginia, Ann's vibrant spirit graced the world on March 11, 1940. Throughout her life, she brought joy and laughter to all who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
Ann's journey was intertwined with that of her beloved husband, Henry White Boyd III, with whom she shared countless cherished moments. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and a profound sense of companionship. Adairville, Kentucky became their home, the backdrop for raising their four daughters: Cathy Boyd Joines (Jay), Truitt Boyd Oliver (Ricky), Sally Boyd Rhea (Clark), and Ellen Hunter Boyd.
Known for her vivacious personality and boundless zest for life, Ann was a bright light in her community. Her warmth and kindness endeared her to all who crossed her path, and her infectious laughter lifted the spirits of those around her. Ann's capacity for friendship knew no bounds, and she leaves behind a multitude of cherished memories shared with friends old and new.
Ann's legacy lives on through her loving family, who meant the world to her. She is survived by her devoted husband of 63 years, Henry White Boyd III, her daughters Cathy, Truitt, Sally, and Ellen, as well as her seven adoring grandchildren: Hill Rowland (Lauren), Parker Rowland, John Rhea (Hannah), Kelsey Oliver, Davis Rowland (Kallie), Robert Rhea, and William Oliver (Laura). Additionally, Ann leaves behind her great-grandson, Boyd Rowland, who brought her immense joy and pride.
While Ann's physical presence may no longer grace this earth, her spirit will continue to shine brightly through the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her laughter and love will echo in the hearts of those who carry her memory forward.
In honoring Ann's memory, let us celebrate the beauty of a life well-lived, and may her legacy of love and laughter inspire us all to live each day to the fullest.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Gainesville, 106 SW 3rd St. with Rev. Fred Lundy officiating. A reception will follow at Oak Hammock.
