Zekiye Gulseren Yeralan's Obituary
It is our heavy heart to inform the passing of our beloved Mom Zekiye Gulseren (Rosa) Yeralan at the age of 81 on Tuesday, October 10 2017 at home in Gainesville, FL surrounded by family at her side.
She was the first born to Hacer Cesmeci Munanoglu and Mustafa Rustu Munanoglu on May 15, 1936 in beautiful Denizli, Turkey. Zekiye Gulseren is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Hamdi Yeralan, sons Sencer , Serdar, Joe (in heaven), daughters Olcay, Helen and Catherine along with her grandchildren Nuri, Seyhun, Sermin (in heaven), John Efe, and Aylin. She is also survived by her sister Nevin, brothers Erol, Atil, and Yucelen and their children Ozlem, Meltem, Sinem, Atay, Aydogan, and Dilsah in Turkey.
Zekiye Gulseren was always the heart of her family, friends, neighbors. She lived in Michigan, Arkansas and Florida since 1959. For ten years, she enjoyed working at the Hunters Crossing Publix in Gainesville and was known as the caring “Rosa” to her customers. She exemplified friendship, strength and compassion even at the hardest times. She was a surrogate mother, sister, grandmother to many in her community.
We will celebrate Gulseren’s life and share her memories on Thursday, October 12 2017 from six to eight PM at the Erenguc Residence. Funeral services will be planned for a later date in Maryland.
