Yvonne Marie Fleming's Obituary
Yvonne Marie Fleming, 54, of Gainesville, Florida, joined her Heavenly Father Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, following health complications related to kidney disease.
Yvonne was born in San Diego, California, to Douglas Fleming and Linda (Fleming) Martin on May 10, 1969. She was raised as a child of a military father living also in Illinois, Florida, and Virginia, before settling in Gainesville 17 years ago. Yvonne loved being with others and especially enjoyed working as a dressing-room attendant at T. J. Maxx for the last 15 years. Yvonne’s favorite memories included fun cruise vacations and Sunday Family Dinners. She always prioritized spending time with friends and family and rejoiced in being a member of the First United Methodist Church of High Springs.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her stepmother, Patricia Ann “Pat” Fleming in September 2014.
Yvonne is survived by her father, Douglas Ray Fleming, of Alachua; her mother and stepfather, Linda Diane (Richard) Martin, of Elkton; one brother John Lee (Bridget) Fleming, of Newberry; stepsister, Kerrick King, of Fallbrook, CA; stepbrother, Justin (Charlotte) White, of Pinehurst, NC; nieces and nephews, Evan, Ashlyn Grace, Colson and Braxton Fleming; Ryan and Chip Ziems; Wesley King and Hannah & Hayden White.
A memorial service celebrating Yvonne’s life will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at 11:00AM at the First United Methodist Church of High Springs. 17405 NW US HWY 441, High Springs, with Rev. Steve Langford, officiating.
