Wilmer Cleveland "Bud" Kight Jr.'s Obituary
Wilmer Cleveland “Bud” Kight, Jr., age 60 of Hawthorne, passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 in Shands at the University of Florida. Bud was born July 29, 1954 in Cross City, Florida to Wilmer Cleveland, Sr. and Edith Brown Kight. He grew up in Plant City. Bud served his country in the U.S. Army and then spent most of his years as a commercial fisherman and truck driver.
He is survived by his mother, Edith Kight; daughter, Christine Kight; son, Mickey Kight; brother, Ronald Kight (Kaci); sisters, Pam Matchett (Will) and Susan Browner (David) and seven grandchildren.
A Graveside Service will be held Thursday, March 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m., at Johnson Cemetery, with Dr. L.D. Osteen officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Woodlawn Baptist Church, 818 CR 20-A, Hawthorne, FL 32640.
