Willis "Larry" Lawrence McCallum Jr.'s Obituary
Willis “Larry” Lawrence McCallum, Jr, 66, of McIntosh, FL passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at the Malcolm Randall VA Medical Center. He was born January 16, 1950 in Laurinburg, North Carolina to Willis Lawrence and Virginia Mae McNeill McCallum. He was an Army Veteran, having proudly served his country in the Vietnam War.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne McCallum. He is survived by his mother, Virginia Mae Hatchett of Ocala, FL; children, Angie Morris and Jonathan McCallum, both of Brunswick, GA; brother, Thomas N. McCallum of Citrus Springs, and three grandchildren, and by Wayne’s longtime companion, Penny Moore.
A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10:30 A. M., in the McIntosh United Methodist Church, 20632 8th Street, with Rev. Fred Lawrence, church pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at McIntosh Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A. M. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to the Palliative Care Unit, 1601 SW Archer Road, Gainesville, FL 32608.
