Elder Willie-Mae D. Emanuel
Elder Willie-Mae D. Emanuel, 89, resident of Gainesville, Florida, died Wednesday, November 13, 2013 in the E. T. York Hospice Care Center, following a long illness.
Elder Emanuel was born on November 7, 1924 in Marion, South Carolina to the late William David and Celeste Nancy Askins Moses. Elder Emanuel lived for many years in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where she was an ordained minister in the Pentecostal faith, an assistant Pastor at the Greater Faith Church and as an evangelist for Robinsons Chapel Church of God in Christ. She had resided in Gainesville for the past 6 years.
She is survived by her husband, Jesse Emanuel, of New Brunswick, New Jersey; two daughters, Lil (Solomon) Daniels, of Willingboro, NJ, and Celeste Wilson, of Gainesville; two sons, Bishop Jesse L. Sellers, of Philadelphia, PA, and Aaron (Dale) Fields, of Citrus Heights, CA; seven grandchildren, Tyrone Straughter, Kesha Thomas, DeAndre (Constance) Fields, Dujuan (Crystal) Wilson, Joy Wilson, Alexis Fields, and Monique Wilson; five great grandchildren, Michael Thomas, Kayla Fields, Darren Fields, Diamond Wilson, and Mariah Wilson.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. in the Passage Family Church, 2020 NE 15th Street, Gainesville, with Bishop Jesse L. Sellers officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Central. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 A.M. at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials should be made to Bread of Life Foundation, P. O. Box 566, Rancocas, NJ 07073.
