Willie Mae Padgett's Obituary
Willie Mae Padgett, age 89, passed away Sunday, February 28, 2016 at home surrounded by loved ones. She was born on September 29, 1926 in Gulf Hammock, Florida to Porter and Leslie Lancaster.
Willie Mae married the love of her life, Russell Padgett, on February 2, 1942. Together they raised a large family of 7 children, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Willie Mae was an amazing gardener and cook who loved working in her yard and reading.
She was preceded in death by her husband Russell; three children Manuel, Mary Jane and James Padgett and one grandchild, Carley Kendall. She is survived by her children, Roy Padgett (Lois), Janie Leslie, Mary Ann Crumpton (Tim) and Cindy Kendall; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Friday, March, 4, 2016 at 1:00 p.m., in Fairbanks Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
