Bill and I volunteered in a surgical waiting room at North Florida Regional Hospital. I worked the morning shift and he the afternoon. During the transition between shifts we would talk about family and our lives. He would come in and say "we got number 18" or number 19 in reference to his great grandkids. I heard stories about the Navy and being a driver in NJ and the grandkids I remember all of us in the waiting room being concerned when he would drive to Kentucky all by himself at 87 & 88. He was always willing to sub for me when I was going to be out of town visiting family. A nicer guy you couldn't meet. One of the stories he told me though was the most touching of all. He wore his wife's wedding ring on a chain around his neck. The love kept you going my friend and now the wait is over and you're together again. I will miss you my friend but you're in a much better place.
