William "Coach Bill" Lippincott's Obituary
William “Coach Bill” Lippincott, 64, of Gainesville passed away January 4, 2015 at Shands. He was born July 10, 1951 in Phillipsburg, NJ to Walter E. and Gladys Rooks Lippincott, Sr. He coached basketball, softball, and T-ball for over 30 years at the Boys and Girls Club of Gainesville. He worked for GRU for over 20 years in the mailroom. He enjoyed going “treasure hunting”, as he called it, at antique stores. Overall, his true love was being a coach.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Pamela J. Lippincott; daughter, Michelle Pisano of Lake City; sisters, Ethel Leonard, Helen Eichlin, and Ruth Rick, and brothers, Donald and Ronald Lippincott.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 9, 2016 in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 N Main Street, at 2:00 p.m. The family will receive friends Friday, January 8, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at St. Johns United Methodist Church Cemetery, Santa Fe, FL. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to The Girls Place of Gainesville, 2101 NW 39th Ave, Gainesville, FL 32605.
