William Jennings Hudnall Sr.'s Obituary
William Jennings Hudnall, Sr., age 83 of Hawthorne, FL passed away Sunday, June 10, 2018. He was born November 29, 1934 in Jacksonville, FL to Arnold Shine and Ethel Anderson Hudnall.
He proudly served in the US Navy. After retiring from the Navy as an Electrical Master Chief, he dabbled in real estate and built his home in Hawthorne on Cowpen Lake. He was a wonderful story teller, he enjoyed working on the computer. He enjoyed gardening and planting trees. He loved talking to people and visiting with people, he never met a stranger.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Sarah; children, Suzanne Abernethy of Inglis, FL; Timothy L. Hudnall of Jacksonville, FL; Virginia Dawson of Jacksonville, FL; Joseph Allen Hudnall of New Orleans, LA and William Jennings Hudnall, Jr. of Inglis, FL.; twelve grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, William Arnold Hudnall, brother William Arnold Hudnall, sisters, Lucille White, Estelle Casey, Dorothy Stillman and Lois Martin.
A celebration of life will be held Sunday, June 17, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. in the chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Hawthorne, 22205 SE 69th Ave. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 5:00 p.m. Burial with military honors will be Monday, June 18, 2018 @ 10:30 a.m. in Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL 32218.
