William W. Holdsworth's Obituary
William W. Holdsworth, 76, of Gainesville, Florida, passed away on Monday, January 25, 2021.
Bill was born in New Brunswick New Jersey to William and Shirley Holdsworth on October 20, 1944.
He graduated from Piscataway High School where he was an All American and played Baseball, Basketball, Football. He entered the Air Force after high school and retired after serving 20 years. He then worked for the U.S. Postal Service and retired after 20 years.
But his true love and vocation were playing senior softball and coaching his sons, daughters, and grandson in many sports.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents William and Shirley Holdsworth; his sister; Renee Holdsworth, and his grandson; Patrick Pacanins.
Bill is survived by his wife, Dora Holdsworth, his children; Judy Holdsworth (Munir), Cindi Holdsworth (Patrick), Billy Holdsworth (Elisabeth), and Matthew Smith. He is also survived by his sisters and brother; Sherian Epstein, Brian Holdsworth, and Marybeth Herrmann. He will be missed by his grandchildren, Henna, Emily, Lexa, Bella, and Billy.
An outdoor Celebration Of Life will be held on Saturday, January 30 at 3:00 p.m. at the baseball field at Trinity Methodist Church 4000 NW 53rd Ave, Gainesville, FL 32653.
