William James Harrell Jr.'s Obituary
William James Harrell Jr., 65, of Lochloosa, FL passed away on January 22, 2025, after a brief illness. Jimmy was born August 6, 1959, to William (Bill) Harrell and Grace Mulligan in Newport News, VA.
He has one brother, James Harrell and two sisters, Amy Christmas (Scotty) and Laura Keadle (Ralph).
He is preceded in death by his wife Londa Harrell, who he married April 12, 1980, and daughter Katrina Cassels.
He is survived by his daughter Monica Evans and grandchildren, Darien Evans, Christian Ferraro, Austen Cassels, and Ayden Cassels.
He worked in construction most of his life and for many of those years worked for the family business, Harrell Plastering.
Jimmy was a kind and fun-loving soul who will be missed by all who loved him. His sense of humor and zest for life always made him the life of every party and he was loved by everyone he met. He was a devoted father and made sure to teach his girls, who he always referred to as “Butch” and “Leroy”, everything we needed to know to be independent.
His love for his children was only eclipsed by the love he had for his wife, Londa. Most of us only wish to be loved the way they did each other. One of his favorite sayings was “If you are going to be dumb, you better be tough” and it has always been a reminder to me of how our decisions have consequences and we need to be strong enough to weather the storms we create. I feel blessed to have had him in my life and will remember him daily.
A barbeque is being held in his honor Saturday, February 8 at 2pm at the Lochloosa Community Church. I am hoping to see many of you there!
