William Stanton Bolick's Obituary
William Stanton Bolick, 88, a longtime resident of Micanopy passed away on Saturday, July 4, 2015. Bill was born in St. Augustine and moved to Miami as a young child. He graduated from Miami High School in 1945 and served in the Army at the end of WWII. He received his Masters of Education from the University of Florida in 1951 and returned to Dade County as a teacher at Hialeah Jr, High and then as an Asst. Principal at Hialeah High until he retired in 1984.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph E and Viola Lewis Bolick and his two brothers, Vernon and Gene Bolick. He is survived by Jeanne, his wife of almost 65 years and his five children, Bonnie Jeanne Herold, Patty (Doug) Hill, Richard Lee (Marcia) Bolick, Randy (Kris) Bolick and Susie Funderburk, and his namesake nephew Bill Bolick and 9 other nephews and nieces, along with 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
A celebration of his life will be held Saturday, July 11, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW 143rd St, Newberry, FL with a reception to immediately follow in the the Life Tribute hall at Williams-Thomas. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Children's Home Society of Florida, 1485 S. Semoran Blvd. Suit 1448 Winter Park, Florida 32792, or the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch, 9291 US-90, Live Oak, FL 32060.
