William Dale Austin's Obituary
William Dale Austin, age 85 of Chiefland passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021. He was born January 26, 1936 in Tampa, Florida to Luther E. and Lula Mae Austin.
He Proudly served in the US Air Force where he met his beloved wife Inge while stationed in Germany. Neither spoke each other’s language when they first met. Bill and Inge were married on November 11, 1956 in Germany. Following his assignment abroad, Bill returned to his hometown of Tampa with his wife and newly born son.
Bill and his wife moved to Chiefland in the 80’s, where he started ABConditioning, from which he later retired.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Inge; son, William A. Austin and wife Charlotte; daughter, Vanessa Eisenhauer; three grandchildren, Jessica, Tiffany and Samantha; four great grandchildren, Avery, Cooper, Charlie, and Gauge.
A funeral service will be held Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME WESTAREA, 823 NW143rd Street, Newberry. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service beginning at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery.
