Willard Elra Conerly, Jr passed away at Advent Health in Winter Park, FL on December 26, 2021 at the age of 78. He was born on July 19, 1944. He is preceded in death by both his parents, Willard Elra Conerly & Margaret Jewel (Crocker) Conerly & his nieces Amy Elaine Blake, Laura Melissa Blake & Colleen Renee Blake. He is survived by his sister Patricia Elaine (Conerly) Richards, his brother William Cleveland Conerly (& wife Lynn), his wife Cindy Thornton & their children Robert Mitchell Conerly (& wife Anita), Michael Patrick Conerly, Sheri Michelle Conerly and Bruce Mitchell Sabin,
Willard "Bud" was in the Air Force. He left the Air Force and went to work for Southern Bell/Bellsouth/AT&T, he was a digital loop carrier for the company. He retired with 41 years service and then contracted back to Southern Bell/Bellsouth/AT&T for another 6 years. He loved having political debates, drawing and painting. He was an avid movie buff, he loved history, mysteries & comedies.
He was laid to rest at Antioch Cemetery in Gainesville, FL on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 2:00pm.
