Mr. Wilbur W. Willmeroth's Obituary
Mr. Wilbur W. Willmeroth, 83, longtime resident of Alachua, Florida, died on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at his home, following a long illness.
Mr. Willmeroth was born in Peru, Illinois on January 8, 1940, to the late Wilbur and Elaine Willmeroth. He was an automotive machinist by trade, but anything involving automobiles was his hobby. He owned a foreign car dealership and was involved in automobile racing in Miami, Florida, before moving to the Alachua area in the 1970’s. In Alachua he was involved in real estate.
He is survived by his companion and life partner, Patricia Mellette; by two sons, Wilbur D. “Bill” Willmeroth and John Drew.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 30, 2023, at 1:00 P. M., in the Chapel of Williams-Thomas Funeral Home Westarea, 823 NW 143rd Street, Newberry.
