Wendell Ray "Wendy" Thomas' Obituary
Wendell Ray “Wendy” Thomas, of Cross Creek, 69, died Tuesday, April 12, 2021 in the Shands Hospital at the University of Florida, Gainesville, following a long illness.
Wendy was born in McIntosh, Florida, son of the late J. W. and Lorraine Bass Thomas. He graduated from Hawthorne High School, Class of 1970. He was a great cook, he would feed all his nieces and nephews, but even though they never knew what they were eating or what animal was in there.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Gene Thomas, by a sister, Vivian Thomas and a nephew Billy Mallory
He is survived by his beautiful wife of almost 47 years, Joyce Thomas; two sons, Wayne (Kim) Thomas and Scott (Melody) Thomas; grandchildren, Samantha, Logan and Alaina; sister, Connie (Bill) Thomason; and five brothers, Kinnis (Irene), Larry (Joyce), Billy (Linda), Tony and Ronnie (Nancy), and by many nieces and nephews.
