My sincere condolences to the family, I just happened to google Wayne and see he passed back in 18. Me and my family purchased the lot in oaklands s/d from Wayne & Kay and built a home back in 86 and were neighbors for a few years until we sold the home and moved away, loved the wonderful family the Martin's, have so many fond memories of Eric helping me with working on the house! Would love to reach out and get in touch with him and see how he is doing these days! I am retired and living in CO now, recently moved from Jax FL last Dec out west and really love it here in the mountains. in case the family sees this, my phone number is 904-626-2898 in the event someone reaches out. I was saddened to see the notice of Wayne's passing. To my regret I waited to late to make contact with him. Wayne's professionalism, attention to detail and superb piloting were in large part responsible for the success of crew 12.

Sorry to learn of Wayne's passing. Prayers for the family. Wayne and I were first cousins. When we were young, I spent a lot of time visiting with him and his family. He was a wonderful person.

I’m Heart Broken...RIH PaPa(Mr. Wayne Martin) 😇
Him and his wife have been apart of my life over 20 years...The memories of him and the family feels like it was yesterday. He’s the only person that called me Tweedy instead of Tweety and I smiled every time. Just a few weeks ago I stoped by to visit PaPa & NaNa, Which he was in the living room sitting, watching tv and the remote beside him like always and as always with his bright smile he says Tweedy how are you and the family. Him and the family was always very caring and loving and the family’s happiness was everything to him. This picture was the last picture I took with PaPa & NaNa....He will truly be missed and definitely won’t be forgotten. You’ll definitely be celebrated every year! An I will forever cherish the Memories 😇

Dear Kay: I have just learned of Wayne's passing and wanted to write you this note to let you know how much I appreciate having practiced with Wayne for 40 years - not only his professional assistance but also his easy smile that could brighten a troubled day.Wayne was a consummate gentleman. I am the one who was blessed. Wayne and his protege Don, who Wayne trained, were the best abstractors that I ever worked with before my retirement.
I am in Charlotte seeing a new grandson so I will not be able to come on Saturday.
We have Wayne, you and the kids in our thoughts and prayers.

I am heartbroken for Wayne’s loss. He was such an integral part of my father’s life as a friend and co-worker. I’ll always remember playing the piano at your wedding, visiting in Hawaii and growing up at the Whitehead’s house and dinner table. Such wonderful times that I miss. I share in your grief with the rest of the family.
