Wanda Colson's Obituary
Wanda Colson, age 91, died on February 19, 2014. She was born to Perry William May and Clara Herndon on June 5, 1922 in Anson, Texas. Wanda married Barney Colson on February 12, 1946 in Gainesville, FL and remained there until her move to Irving, Texas in 2007. She was an active member of the Church of Christ.
She is preceded in death by her husband Barney who died on October 21, 1998. Wanda will be missed by her daughter Bonnye Stare and husband John; sister Winona Pope of Dallas, TX and sister Sue Love of Monticello, FL.
A funeral service will be held Monday, February 24, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., at University City Church of Christ, 4626 NW 8th Avenue. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m.
The family requests memorials to VNA Hospice at 1600 Viceroy, Suite 400, Dallas, TX 75235.
