Walter Leonard Fisher Jr.'s Obituary
Walter Leonard Fisher, Jr., 92, passed away Wednesday, December 25, 2024, in Gainesville, FL. He was born in Macon, MS, the son of Walter L. and Sophia G. Fisher. He and Norma Henning were married July 5, 1956. He was a Lieutenant Commander and pilot in the U.S. Navy. In his retirement, he enjoyed construction, self-defense training, and a quiet life on the farm. He was also a volunteer for the Friends of the NRA. He was pre-deceased by his parents and his wife of 67 years. He is survived by his children, Neal Fisher and Cindy Tew; his grandchildren, Christine Tew, Dallas Tew (Whitney), Kevin Tew (Emily), and Amy Moen; and his great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Quincy and Thatcher.
