Wade Ring II's Obituary
Wade Ring II, age 71, of Hawthorne, passed away on Monday, September 1, 2025, in Gainesville, Florida.
Born in Elberton, Georgia, on May 17, 1954, to Wade and Nina Bryant Ring, Wade moved with his family to Gainesville at the age of six. His father taught at P.K. Yonge, where Wade attended school and graduated.
Wade dedicated over 30 years of his career to All Florida Electric and also shared his expertise as a part-time instructor in the Electrical Apprenticeship Program at Santa Fe College. His work ethic and commitment to teaching left a lasting impact on many in the field.
Outside of work, Wade enjoyed saltwater fishing and cherished spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Shirley B. Ring; his daughter, Ciara McCord, and her husband Josh; his sister, Mary R. Miller, and her husband Mark; as well as several cousins, nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wade and Nina Ring.
Please join us for Wade’s Celebration of Life on Sunday, September 28th, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Little Orange Creek Nature Park, 24115 SE Hawthorne Road, Hawthorne, FL 32640. All are welcome as we gather to honor and remember a life well lived. The event will be catered .
