Violet V. Hanks' Obituary
Violet V. Hanks, 93, of Gainesville, FL, formerly of West Boylston and Auburn, MA, died peacefully on July 1st at E.T.York Care Center after a brief illness. Vi was born in Worcester, MA to the late John and Anna Bjorklund.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gordon E. Hanks and son Jeffrey G. Hanks.
She is survived by her daughter, Nancy Robinson (Bill) of Gainesville, her son Ronald Hanks (Connie) of Auburn, MA, and her daughter-in-law Melodie Hanks of North Oxford, MA. 9 Grandchildren - Heather Moore, Jillian Heenan, Lisa, Scott and Amy Robinson, Emily and Kelsea Hanks, Jonathan and Christopher Hanks, 5 great grandchildren, Casey, Riley and Leary Moore, Collin and Caiden Heenan.
Vi was a retired executive assistant for a bank mortgage officer. She was active in many church organizations in Worcester, MA and Gainesville, FL. She loved spending time with her family and friends, going to the beach, reading and baking Swedish family favorites.
Funeral services will be held in Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to Haven Hospice at BeYourHaven.org or to E.T.York Care Center, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
