Vernon E. Sparkman's Obituary
Vernon E. Sparkman, 79, of Hawthorne, Florida, died Monday, October 10, 2016, in the Haven Hospice Care Center, following a battle with cancer.
Mr. Sparkman worked for many years and retired from the Coastal Engineering and Oceanography Laboratory at the University of Florida.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Vivian Sparkman; a daughter and her husband, Virginia and Allen Dyson; a grandson and his wife, Stephen & Rachel Dyson; granddaughter and her husband, Stacy & Chris Mudra; great granddaughter, Mya Michelle Mudra.
No services will be held, and the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Haven Hospice, 4200 NW 90th Blvd., Gainesville, FL 32606.
