Vernon D. Forgione's Obituary
Vernon D. Forgione, 36, of Hawthorne, Florida, passed away on Monday, January 21, 2019 in the Roberts Care Center, Palatka, as in life, surrounded by his family, after a long illness.
Vernon was born in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, he was a beloved and devoted father, son and friend who had a zest for life. He enjoyed riding his Harley, working with his hands, art, poetry and music and had a great love and compassion for helping others.
Vernon was preceded in death by his wife, Jennifer Ingram Forgione of Gainesville and his father-in-law, Wallace Ingram of Jupiter, FL.
He is survived by a daughter, Venus Blue Forgione and a son Vernon Wallace Forgione, both of Hawthorne; his mother and father Rosie and Donald Forgione, of Gainesville; a sister Rosalie Forgione Alfonso of Daytona Beach; a brother and sister-in-law Bryan and Jaymie Forgione, of Weirsdale; mother-in-law, Patty Ingram, of Jupiter; grandmother, Helen Forgione, of Stuart, FL; partner, Corrina Fugate and her daughters, Kadence and Zoie Fugate and Pepper Grimes, all of Hawthorne and many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, In-laws and friends.
A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 10:00 A. M., at the St. Augustine Catholic Church,1738 West University Avenue, Gainesville, with Fr. David Ruchinski, celebrant. Interment will follow in the Prairie Creek Conservation Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, January 25, 2019 from 5 to 7 P.
