Velma M. Lunsford's Obituary
Velma M. Lunsford, age 86 of Old Town, passed away Saturday, May 20, 2017. Velma was born March 2, 1931 in Maryville, Tennessee to W.C. and Bessie Mae McMahan Franklin. She loved to read the newspaper every day, working crossword puzzles and watch wrestling. Velma still enjoyed writing letters. She was Pentecostal.
Velma was preceded in death by her husband, John Earl Lunsford in 2015, son, David and a great granddaughter. She is survived by her sons, Roger, Howard, Harman and Earl Lunsford; three grandchildren, Mary Ramnath, Bryan Lunsford and Eric Whitmire and nine great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., in the chapel of WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN, 404 North Main Street. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida at 2:00 p.m.
