Ute Alice von Castel-Dunwoody's Obituary
Ute Alice von Castel-Dunwoody, age 76, of Gainesville passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018 at her home. She was born July 17, 1941 in Gallingen, Germany to Henry and Ruth Schwarz von Castel. Ute was the CFO and CEO of Aware Communications. She was an artist, and sang in the choir at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, where she was a member. She was a once-in-a-lifetime one-of-a-kind woman.
Ute is survived by her daughter, Kristina M. von Castel-Dunwoody of Gainesville, and her beloved Richard E. Hayworth. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerard Dunwoody; brother, Gunther von Castel, and sister, Mariana von Castel.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday February 17, 2018 at 11:00 am, with visitation beginning at 10:00 am, at Abiding Savior Lutheran Church, 9700 W Newberry Rd, Gainesville, with Pastor Alan Struckmeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park West, with a reception following at the church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorials to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
