"TOM" Joseph Thomas BRADY's Obituary
Tom Brady, Col., US Army (retired), passed away peacefully on August 23, 2024 at the age of 92. He was born in New York, New York, on October 1, 1931.
He spent a total of 32 years in the U.S. Army and U.S. Army Reserves. While stationed in Etain, Meuse, France, at the Sidi Brahim Caserne Service Center, he met the love of his life, Marie-Antoinette Rouillon (deceased). A year after his discharge, Tom returned to France, where they married twice (Civil, Church ceremonies) on December 17, 1957. They were married for 51 years until her death in 2009.
They raised their children Neal (deceased), Laura (deceased), Caroline (Matt), and Gabrielle (Michael) in the Miami area until purchasing a home in Micanopy in 1982. While living in Micanopy, Tom became one of the founding members of the Micanopy Historical Society, was a member of the Micanopy Regulars (who role-play in the guise of early US Army soldiers), and a member of the Micanopy Historic Preservation Board (29 years). Also surviving are two grandchildren of Caroline and husband Matt, Timothy, and Elizabeth (Brinton). Grandson-in-law, Michael (Kristin), and great-grandchildren Nathan, Natalia, and Evangeline.
