Timothy "Tim" Glenn Lindsey's Obituary
Timothy “Tim” Glenn Lindsey, age 60 of Brooker, Florida died peacefully at home, on July 28, 2017 with his family by his side. He was born January 22, 1957 in Gainesville, FL to Ella Mae Dickens and John P. Lindsey, Jr.
Tim worked as a Superintendent in the Construction Industry as a Master Carpenter for many years but left the industry for a job he loved and was dedicated to at the Florida Pest Control farm in which he retired after 25 years.
He was what most ole timers would call a Character. Tim had a list of friends that would stretch from Key West to Tappahannock, VA with a list of wonderful and hilarious stories to go along with it. Tim always had a smile on his face and a joke on his lips. All those who knew Tim, loved Tim. He will be truly missed but never forgotten.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Lindsey of 10 years in which he shared a collaborative and caring relationship based on mutual support and a deep love for each other, his children, Tina Moore and her husband Mike, Tamra Lindsey, Tiffany Lindsey, Candise McNeal, Zachary McRae; 9 grandchildren, Dustin, Wyatt, Shelby, Zoey, Blake, Bubba, Jason, Katherine and Isabella; 5 siblings, Terry Lindsey and Tony Lindsey both of Walkerton, VA, Renee Lindsey Kale of Grandview, TX, Yvette Lindsey Miller of Granbury, TX, Sherod Lindsey of Mission Viejo, CA and their families. Tim is also survived by his former wife of 31 years, Marybeth Lindsey in which he remained in a supportive and loving relationship.
A gathering to celebrate Tim’s life will be held Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at WILLIAMS-THOMAS FUNERAL HOME DOWNTOWN 404 North Main Street. For those who wish, memorials can be made to UF Health Cancer Center, Office of Development, PO Box 103633, Gainesville, FL 32610
