Timothy James Muzzey's Obituary
Mr. Timothy James Muzzey, 62, longtime resident of Newberry, Florida, died Saturday, June 4, 2016 at his home, following a long illness.
Mr. Muzzey was born on September 2, 1953 in Elmhurst, Illinois to the late Howard and Lillian Muzzey. As a young man, Mr. Muzzey joined the U. S. Marine Corps and served bravely in Vietnam, being awarded with a Purple Heart and with a Bronze Star for Valor. He continued his military career by joining the U. S. Army, where he served as a Tanker until his retirement in 1986, when he moved to Newberry. He grew to love Gator football, and was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by two daughters, Sue Feng Smith, of Wichita Falls, TX, and Helen Ann Muzzey, of Taiwan; two brothers, Philip Muzzey of Oklahoma and Christopher Muzzey of Newberry; three sisters, Linda Muzzey of Oklahoma, Eileen Muzzey, of Tampa, and Shirley Muzzey, of Ocala; two grandchildren, Anthony Smith, of Oklahoma and Cindi Smith, of Wichita Falls, TX.
Graveside funeral services with military honors will be conducted on Friday, June 10, 2016 at 1:00 P. M., in the Jonesville Cemetery.
