Judge Tim Browning's Obituary
Tim Browning did not live long, but as long as he did, he was larger than life. He made his entrance into this world in 1955, the youngest of 7, son of Ruth and James. It did not take long before his strong will, quick wit, and indomitable spirit would become apparent. At an early age, 13, Tim would accept Jesus Christ as his personal savior; a decision that would shape the rest of his life! While attending Miami Christian, he was captain of the football team and president of the student body. After graduation, he attended Miami Dade College where he would meet Georgia, who became the love of his life (43 years of wonderful). They created a lifetime filled with traveling adventures, dreams and hopes, and beautiful malamutes, who became their children. Upon graduation from the University of Florida, he attended UF Law School. That’s when the adventure really took flight. He would become a lawyer, prosecutor, Division Chief of Crimes Against Women and Families, adjunct professor at UF College of Law, and finally judge of Levy County. As judge, he adored his Levy County. He would always say, “God’s country, filled with God’s people.” The greatest thing that can be said about a person when they step into Glory, is that they left the world a better place … Tim Browning did just that. His love of God, family, and country marched with him into eternity!!!
We will celebrate his life at 3:00pm on Sunday, October 15th at the Rafter Cross Cowboy Church in Williston, Florida. In lieu of flowers, if you would like, please donate to one of Judge Browning's greatest passions, FFA. Please contact Mandy Waters for details on how to do this at 352-222-2752.
