Thuc-Tram Nguyen Tullius' Obituary
In loving memory of Thuc-Tram Nguyen, a wife, a daughter, a baby sister, stepmother and an aunt.
Tram was born in Oct 1977. She was the youngest of five children. She has always been the baby in the family “Be Tram”.
Born during tough times in Vietnam, the siblings are very close, as we had to take care of each other. The older siblings would have to help take care of and guide the younger as the parents were busy making ends meet. We grew up together, tight and close siblings. As the baby sister of the pack, she was spoiled but also expected to do well in school. She was a smart and cute young girl. She did well and had many good friends in school. She also learnt some naughty boys’ mischief from her older brothers and was somewhat a tomboy at the toddler age.
Life was getting better as our father started a private business. Thanks to our father, some of us got to experience Math and Science applications in real life. She sometimes was able to go with Dad on his business trips. She got to see other provinces of Vietnam.
In 1993, life again changed when the family migrated to the US and settled in Gainesville, FL. Starting from “zero” with the language and friends. Life and school the first few years were difficult, but she made it and graduated from Gainesville HS.
As a strong personality and independent young woman, Tram followed her own paths to explore different things after HS. She settled in Gainesville to be close to our parent.
She met her husband, Richard, and had a long/strong relationship. They spent time, built home and their future together. They married in 2015.
Tram gave all her love to her husband, her parent, nieces, nephews, and her pet children.
When our father was diagnosed with late-stage cancer, she and Richard were the ones who provided all the care for him and our mother. It was a very tough time for them, but they became stronger by supporting each other.
Tram and Richard started focusing on themselves after Dad passed away. They have had many plans for their future. These plans were cut short as Tram left us on July 29h, 2023.
A funeral service will be held Sunday, August 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Williams-Thomas Westarea Chapel, 823 NW 143rd Street.
